Reconnect with Joy is a gentle, trauma-informed somatic healing coaching experience designed to help you reconnect with the part of you that is still alive, still present, and still capable of feeling joy.

What is Somatic Healing?

At Owl’s Nest, somatic healing means working with the body as part of the healing process.

When we experience stress, trauma, or emotional overwhelm, the body can hold onto those experiences even when the mind understands what happened. Somatic healing helps create safety in the nervous system so emotions can be processed in a more grounded and sustainable way.

This approach may include:

  • Body awareness and nervous system regulation

  • Mindfulness and breathing practices

  • Gentle movement

  • Artistic expression

  • Guided invitations and reflection

Somatic healing is not about reliving the past.
It’s about reconnecting with yourself in the present.

At Owl’s Nest, this work happens slowly, safely, and with deep respect for your lived experience.

Reconnect with Joy Coaching

Reconnect with Joy is offered through private, in-person somatic coaching sessions designed to support emotional healing, reconnection, and integration.

Sessions are 90 minutes and may include:

  • Somatic check-ins

  • Body-based mindfulness practices

  • Reflective conversation

  • Psychoeducation

  • Creative expression when helpful

  • Personalized integration practices between sessions

This work helps you reconnect with your body as a source of safety, recognize patterns that no longer serve you, and gently build self-trust again.

Meet Michelle


Reconnect with Joy is facilitated by Michelle Mailloux, founder of Owl’s Nest Coaching & Wellness Studio.

Michelle is a certified somatic healing professional with more than 25 years of experience supporting individuals of all ages. Her approach combines movement, mindfulness, creativity, and lived experience to provide trauma-informed holistic support.

Clients often describe her presence as grounding, compassionate, and deeply attuned.
